Quick Overview on flowtronic Fuel Consumption Measurement
1. flowtronic Fuel Consumption Testing
1. flowtronic Fuel Consumption Testing
The general aim of reducing the fuel consumption of combustion engines continually sets high demands on the equipment used for fuel comsumption measurement.
These demands are covered by the modern flowtronic systems. They are characterized by a very high measurement accuracy over a very wide range of flow rate. Therewith minimum idle mode flow rates of small engines can be measured as precisely and dynamically as peak consumption values at full load of very large engines of trucks or specialized vehicles.
Beyond the functionality of the fuel flow metering, the flowtronic systems also include the fuel supply conditioning. This is an absolute requirement for accurate fuel consumption measurement.
2. History
2. History
GREGORY Technology has taken over the whole flowtronic product line from the former maker Quickly AG in Switzerland due to its owner's retirement. Since then, the product line has been continuously improved and optimized.
Today GREGORY Technology offers completely new flowtronic systems from its own development. The product range includes a number of systems for applications ranging from small motorcycle engines up to very large engines for commercial and specialized vehicles.
flowtronic products are used in large quantities all over the world for over 30 years.
3. Technical Features
3. Technical Features
The flowtronic sensor element offers a measuring range of 0,1 ... 250l/h at a resolution of 0,004ml. Engines with up to 700l/h fuel circulation rate are covered by the new system generation.
Flexibility in operation, fast installation and setting into operation as well as the easy handling also belong to the the technical features of today's system generation.
4. Interfaces
4. Interfaces
Two different signal electronics are available to all systems. The first one includes software, touch screen operation, test data interface and an external printer. With this, a complete stand-alone system for fuel consumption testing is provided.
Alternatively, a compact conditioning unit complete with digital and analogue output provides direct connection to a customer's data acquisition system.
5. System Selection
5. System Selection
Choosing the best fitting system is based on some parameters of the engine to be tested, such as the expected consumption, the type of engine (petrol or diesel), etc.
6. Installation and Setting into Operation
6. Installation and Setting into Operation
For connection into the original fuel supply system, self closing quick-lock couplings, tube adapters and further accessories are available. Detailed instruction manuals in German or English language are included to all flowtronic systems.
7. Operational Safety
7. Operational Safety
GREGORY Technology sets very high demands on operational safety. flowtronic systems are subject to high quality control standards during production and before delivery. Furthermore, the flowtronic systems additionally include various protection functions for the operational safety in daily use.
8. Worldwide Sales
8. Worldwide Sales
GREGORY Technology operates in the world market from the head quarter in Germany. In some countries, regional distributors are providing regional sales and customer support. The number of distributors is constantly growing.
All sales partners of GREGORY Technology are qualified. In addition, customer inquiries can of course also be addressed directly to GREGORY Technology in Germany.
9. Customer Support
9. Customer Support
The care of customers and users before and especially after buying a flowtronic system is of great importance. User training and other services are also offered.
